Book Review Kingdoms of Death

August 18, 2026

Somehow this escaped my notice for too long, and I have been delayed in making a brief review.

Chapter 10 “…White like a holograph plate tuned to a dead channel.”

He’s certainly read Neuromancer! An excellent reference by one excellent author of another excellent author. There have been a few nods here and there, such as the ICE antivirus/firewall in book 2 or 3 (I forget which one at this point), but this confirms my suspicions in the best ways.

Kingdoms of Death is the emotional damage that has been building up over three other books now. And somehow we still haven’t gotten to a single sun being eaten. Pain and sorrow. Torture, failures, loss. We are left with a very broken hero.

Book 5 awaits.

Rating: 5/5
